💡 How it works
Letters: your MOJA Mate writes; the team scans and publishes; you write back in the app and the team carries it onward.
Moments: photos and videos, shared privately; nothing is ever public.
Missions: four seasons, four badges; Nia invites the children when each one opens.
Visits: the students don't have phones; when the team visits Uganda, your letters and videos travel with them and play for your MOJA Mate.
Renewal: each sponsorship follows the Ugandan school year, January to December.
✍️ Writing to your MOJA Mate
· Ask questions; letters that ask get answers.
· Share small daily things; your breakfast, your garden, the weather.
· Draw or add photos; pictures speak across languages.
· Celebrate their news ("8/10 in mathematics!").

· "MOJA" means one in Swahili; we are one.
· Greetings in Acholi: Itye nini? (How are you?) · Apwoyo (Thank you!)
· The school year runs January to December in three terms.
· Posho (a warm maize dish) is the beloved staple food.
· Uganda is called the Pearl of Africa; source of the Nile, home of mountain gorillas.

Letters, photos and videos of the children are for your family only; please never share them publicly or on social media. Data lives in the EU, protected by consent from each child's guardian. You can ask us anything at membership@moja.earth.
